A couple leaving the city wanted one level, no stairs and a roof deep enough to sit under when it rains.

The roof is a single 1.4 metre overhang that shades the glass in summer and keeps the terrace dry from October to April.
Kitchen, living room and bedrooms sit in one line, so every room opens to the same meadow. A rubble stone wall closes the west side against the wind.
